Anna Maria Island Historical Society Museum Pat Copeland Scholarship Application Now Available!
The application for the Pat Copeland Scholarship from the Anna Maria Island Historical Society is now open. Applicants must be a Manatee County high school senior who plans on attending or is currently enrolled in a college, university, trade, or vocational school. Applicants must also be either a resident of one of the three island cities or be employed by an island business.
The deadline for postmarked applications is March 31, 2024. Applications can be obtained from high school guidance offices, the Anna Maria Island Historical Museum at 402 Pine Avenue, Anna Maria, or online at https://www.amihs.org/newsandeventsblog. Completed applications can be mailed or emailed to the museum. For further information, contact the Historical Society at 941-778-0492. Established in 1998, the scholarship program was named in honor of Pat Copeland, a founding member of the AMI Historical Society and Museum. Although Pat passed away in 2023, her legacy and dedication to the museum, island history and education continue through this scholarship. Over $30,000 has been awarded to local students since the program's inception.
