AMIHS Launches YouTube Channel

In conjunction with the AMIHS Museum's new exhibit, the Historical Society launched a YouTube Channel that features dozens of oral histories from Island residents.

Here is a small sample of what this channel has to offer.

In this video, Ernie Cagnina talks about the Old IGA, which he ran from 1946 to 1994. This video is particularly interesting because it was filmed in 1991 and viewers can see inside the old grocery store before it closed only a few years later.

Hear all the wild and interesting stories about early Island life:

I opened Block Blast after spending time untangling a mess of cables behind my desk. The neat grid felt satisfying after dealing with all those knots.

It becomes apparent that the discussion remains anchored in observable data. Interpretations stay anchored in verifiable data. The website furnishes extra context that enriches the subject. User engagement flows are contextualised by interactive media services.
